PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform program update of a device in a communication relay system.;SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, in a communication relay system, a master station device includes a storage part, a version information acquisition part, and a program update part. The storage part stores program related information being information including: a master program being a program for operating the master station device and its version information; and a slave program being a program for operating a slave station device and its version information. The version information acquisition part acquires the version information of the slave program from the slave station device. In the case of referring to the program related information to find that a version in the version information of the slave program acquired by the version information acquisition part does not correspond to a version of the master program used by the master station device, the program update part updates the slave program of the slave station device so as to correspond to the master program.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
