Disclosed in the present invention is a fast source and path verification method based on random authentication and embedding, comprising: a data stream source end generating multiple pieces of corresponding fragmented information, and sending announcement information of a current data stream to all routing nodes on an expected path; the data stream source end randomly selecting, at the same probability, some different pieces of fragmented information, embedding same in a header of a data packet to be sent, and sending said data packet to a next hop of routing node on the expected path; intermediate routing nodes on the expected path verifying the received data packet, and if the verification is passed, forwarding the data packet to a next routing node; and upon receiving the data packet, a data stream destination end verifying the received data packet, and once the verification is passed, executing analytical verification, evaluation and analysis on the expected path. Said method effectively reduces the additional communication overhead introduced into a data packet by a verification structure, maximally reduces the processing overhead on the verification structure by routing nodes, and ensures the simplicity, efficiency and feasibility of the verification process in data transmission.
