A method and apparatus schedule uplink transmissions with reduced latency. A first transmit power of a first uplink transmission in the device may be determined based on a first higher layer configuration power control parameter set associated with the first TTI length ( 1030 ). The first uplink transmission may span the first TTI length. The first TTI length may include a first number of symbols. A second transmit power of the second uplink transmission may be determined based on a second higher layer configuration power control parameter set associated with the second TTI length ( 1040 ). The second uplink transmission may span a second TTI length. The second TTI length may include a second number of symbols. A first uplink transmission may be transmitted in a subframe using the first transmit power (1050). At least a second uplink transmission may be transmitted in a subframe using the second transmit power ( 1060 ). The first uplink transmission and the second uplink transmission may overlap in time for at least one symbol duration.
