A pre-chamber lighter with a housing which has a pre-chamber at its front end with an ignition electrode mounted therein, the ignition electrode comprising a base and electrode legs extending from the base,where the ignition electrode is extracted from a sheet consisting of an iridium alloy and the legs are protruded from the base plane to form a basket shape, the ignition electrode, in particular the electrode legs, is characterized by:is/are separated from the sheet by laser cutting.In addition, an appropriate ignition electrode and a process for the production of such an ignition electrode are required.
