The invention concerns a method for preparing a powder made from oxide(s) comprising uranium and plutonium comprising the following steps: a) a step of precipitating a solution comprising uranium in its oxidation state VI and plutonium in its oxidation state IV by bringing said solution into contact with a mixture comprising oxalic acid and N-cyclohexylpyrrolidone; b) a step of isolating the precipitate obtained in a); c) a step of obtaining said powder by heat treatment of the precipitate. The invention also relates to the use of the powder thus prepared for producing a nuclear fuel.
