To locate an intermittent failure in a communication structure of an aircraft comprising equipment (101, 102, 103, 104, 105) interconnected by a wiring (115) forming a plurality of communication mediums (111, 112, 113, 114 ) shared, an analyzer (130): recovers an error report relating to transmission errors observed on each of said communication mediums; counts transmission errors, by type of error and by communication chain; calculates a median of the counts for communication chains comprising the same pair of wired equipment; and when, for a communication chain, the count exceeds a threshold equal to the median plus a predefined margin, generates an intermittent failure detection alarm in association with the communication chain which has caused the threshold to be exceeded.
