Proposed by the present invention are a system and method for coupling solar energy and a water source heat pump. The system comprises: a solar heat collection device, in which at least a first water flow channel is provided; a water tank which is connected to the first water flow channel, wherein a first water pump is provided between the first water flow channel and the water tank, and the water tank has a hot water output end connected to a water end; and a water source heat pump system, wherein a first heat exchanger, a first throttling element and a second refrigerant channel are connected in sequence, an air suction port of a compressor is connected to the second refrigerant channel, and an exhaust port is connected to the first heat exchanger; one water inlet end of a second water flow channel is connected to the water tank, and the other water inlet end is connected to a water source, a first valve is provided in a connection pipeline between the second water flow channel and the water tank, and a second water pump is provided between the second water flow channel and the water source. The system for coupling the solar energy and the water source heat pump of the present invention effectively increases the water temperature on the low temperature water source side of the heat pump, and the operation energy efficiency of a heat pump unit is improved accordingly, thereby reducing the operation energy consumption of the system.
