[Problem] To make it possible to achieve, by simple processing, secure authentication adapted for vulnerabilities and attacks. [Solution] A device 1 to be authenticated is provided with: a transmission unit 14 for transmitting an authentication request including encrypted information to an authentication device 2 repeatedly within an authentication period; an encrypting unit 13 for generating encrypted information by encrypting unique information and a verification value using an encryption key; an acquiring unit 11 for generating unique information; a verification unit 15 for generating a verification value and determining the validity of authentication after authentication by the authentication device; and a storage unit 12 for storing the generated verification value. The authentication device 2 is provided with: a reception unit 21 for receiving, repeatedly within an authentication period, the authentication request transmitted from the device 1 to be authenticated including the encrypted information encrypted using the encryption key; a decrypting unit 23 for acquiring decrypted information by decrypting the encrypted information; an authentication unit 24 for determining whether the device 1 to be authenticated is valid using a plurality of authentication requests received within the authentication period including the encrypted information that has been successfully decrypted, and transmitting to the device 1 to be authenticated verification data including a verification value after authentication determination; and an output unit 25 for outputting a result of the determination performed by the authentication unit.
