To make it possible to generate work instruction with better efficiency.SOLUTION: This work instruction generation device comprises: a storage part which stores 3D model information concerning components and a structure of an assembly, and component kind information which defines part assembly which is a combination of classification condition of kinds of the components and the components; a component kind classification part which classifies the components and component kinds of the part assembly by use of said 3D model information and component kind information; a part assembly setting part which sets the part assembly to the components by use of said 3D model information and component kind information; an inter-component adjacent relationship generating part which analyzes an adjacent relationship of the components by use of a prescribed analysis method according to the component kinds, and generates an assembly graph which indicates an inter-component adjacent relationship for each component kind; and an assembly sequence generation part which generates an assembly sequence of the components by use of said assembly graph.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
