The starting control device for an electronic cigarette comprises an atomization device (10) and a power supply device (20) connected to the atomization device (10). The power supply device (20) comprises: a touch identification module (201) used for detecting a touch operation of a user, obtaining touch information of the user, and generating identification information when the touch information matches pre-stored information; a microcontroller which is connected to the touch identification module (201) and generates a starting signal according to the identification information; and a starting module (203) which is connected to the microcontroller and is started according to the starting signal so as to enable the electronic cigarette to enter a working state. The electronic cigarette provides specificity for users, can effectively prevent minors from smoking the electronic cigarette, and has higher safety.
