Disclosed is a novel portable sound box, comprising a separated battery pack box, a control box used for processing an audio signal, and a playback box used for playing back the audio signal. The battery pack box comprises a battery pack, a step-down circuit, a first power supply output port and a second power supply output port. The first power supply output port is connected to the battery pack, and the second power supply output port is connected to the battery pack by means of the step-down circuit. The control box is provided with a power input port and an audio output port. The playback box is provided with an audio input port. The first power supply output port is arranged to be directly connected to the battery pack and the control box, so that power loss is reduced, and the stability and portability of the portable sound box are improved. By means of arranging the second power supply output port, the portable sound box is provided with a power bank function, and the practicability thereof is improved.
