STATIONARY ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS IN INDUSTRIAL PLANTS

It proposes a procedure for determining the cause of an anomaly in the operation of a technical plant, in particular a production or process plant, comprising:(a) determination of a linear, stationary model for at least one component (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) of the technical installation on the basis of a topological structure of the technical installation, representing a qualitative behaviour of the component (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8); that the model includes a qualitative statement of a technical response current of the component (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) in response to a specific input stream to charge the component (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8),(b) operate at least one component (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) of the technical installation and commissioning of the component (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) with a technical input current;(c) receiving the response stream and storing the response stream in a data storage;(d) evaluating the response flow of the component stored in the data storage (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8);(e) identify an anomaly in the response flow of the component (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8);(f) identifying possible causes of the anomaly from a link between the anomaly and the predetermined model of the component (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8);(g) Store the possible causes in the data storage.
