To provide a system and a method for smart automatically exchanging a metal-die.SOLUTION: A system for smart automatically exchanging a metal-die Z comprises a central control unit, and a metal-die accommodating unit 1, a metal-die combining/dismantling unit 2, a metal-die temporary storage unit 3, a temporary storage metal-die pick-and-place unit 4, a plurality of working devices 5a, 5b and 5c, a plurality of metal-die preparatory position units 6a, 6b and 6c and a metal-die exchange pick-and-place unit 7, which are set up on the same production line and electrically connected to the central control unit. A plurality of preparatory metal-dies M1 is placed in the metal-die accommodating unit 1. The temporary storage metal-die pick-and-place unit 4 is movably set up above the metal-die temporary storage unit 3. The plurality of working devices is in the vicinity of the metal-die temporary storage unit 3. The working device includes therein an original working metal-die M2. The plurality of metal-die preparatory position units is set up laterally on one sides of the working devices. The metal-die exchange pick-and-place unit 7 is movably set up above the working device and the metal-die preparatory position unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
