DESIGN RULE CHECK VIOLATION PREDICTION SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A system and method are provided for predicting systematic design rule check (DRC) violations in a layout layout before routing is performed to the layout layout. The systematic DRC violation prediction system includes DRC violation prediction circuitry. The DRC violation prediction circuitry receives placement data related to the placement layout. The DRC violation prediction circuit unit checks the arrangement data related to the arrangement layout, and the arrangement data may include data related to a plurality of areas of the arrangement layout that may be checked for each area. DRC violation prediction circuitry predicts whether there will be one or more systematic DRC violations in the layout layout due to subsequent routing of the layout layout.
