The invention relates to assistance in controlling the spread of a contagious disease, using networked devices, and provides for: - upon receiving data of infection with the disease from a first user of a first mobile terminal, obtaining a list comprising at least data of successive geographical positions (Pos(t1), Pos(t2), etc.) of the first terminal over a predetermined period of time, and estimating from said list, at least one region at risk of infection by the first user, and for a second terminal available to a second user: - obtaining at least one geographical position datum from the second terminal during at least said period of time, and comparing the geographical position of the second terminal with the region at risk by means of the geographical position datum of the second terminal, - in the event of coincidence according to a chosen criterion (BR1, BR2, etc.) between the geographical position of the second terminal and the region at risk, activating a human-machine interface connected to the second terminal in order to signal a risk of infection to the second user.
