A polycarbonate copolymer having repeating units A represented by formula (1) and repeating units B represented by formula (2), the polycarbonate copolymer being obtained using bis-chloroformate oligomers represented by formula (1A) and/or formula (2A) as a raw material, and being such that the average polymer number n1 of bis-chloroformate oligomers represented by formula (1A) is 1.0-1.3 (inclusive), and the average polymer number n2 of bis-chloroformate oligomers represented by formula (2A) is 1.0-1.3 (inclusive). In formula (1), Ar1 is a group represented by formula (3). In formula (2), Ar2 is a group represented by formula (4). In formula (1A), Ar1 is synonymous with Ar1 in formula (1).
