PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a modified polyolefin resin using a unidirectional multi-screw extruder capable of improving operational stability. SOLUTION: The graft weight of at least one modified component selected from the group consisting of an unsaturated carboxylic acid, an anhydride thereof and an unsaturated carboxylic acid derivative with respect to a polyolefin resin is 0.1 to 20% by weight and the weight. When preparing a modified polyolefin resin having an average molecular weight of 5,000 to 300,000 using a multi-screw extruder in the same direction, the raw material containing the polyolefin resin and the modifying component, which was put into the multi-screw extruder in the same direction, was used.
