Distributed winding electric machine with double cross-end loops

An electrical machine with a stator which has a stator core and windings arranged thereon. The stator core has a plurality of slots formed therein and a winding arranged in the plurality of slots. The winding comprises at least four parallel paths which are distributed in sets of slots in the stator core. Each groove set contains at least four contiguous grooves, including two left grooves and two right grooves. A first parallel path and a second parallel path are arranged in the two left-hand slots for at least one first turn of the winding around the core. The first parallel path and the second parallel path are arranged in the two right-hand slots for at least one further revolution of the winding around the core.
