According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method of operating a remittance and transfer transaction apparatus for providing a remittance transfer transaction service based on code information includes the steps of pre-registering membership service specific information corresponding to a purchaser terminal user; receiving a code information request for identifying a user of the purchaser terminal for a remittance transfer transaction from the purchaser terminal; generating code information corresponding to a user of the purchaser terminal according to a remittance transfer transaction standard allowed by a financial institution server when the code information request is received; storing mapping information in which the pre-registered membership service unique information is mapped with the generated code information; transmitting the code information to the purchaser terminal; and when a request for approval of a remittance transfer transaction is received from the financial institution server, when the purchaser code information included in the remittance transfer transaction approval request matches the mapped code information, along with a payment transfer process for the remittance transfer transaction, and performing membership service processing using the mapping information.
