A method for producing a nanopowder of a complex nickel-cobalt oxide composition NiCo2O4 with a spinel structure includes obtaining an aqueous solution of nickel and cobalt nitrates followed by heat treatment in the presence of water vapor at an elevated temperature, while Ni(NO3)2⋅6H2O and Co(NO3)2⋅6H2O in a molar ratio of 1:2, respectively, wherein the resulting solution is kept at a temperature of 60-80°С until the water is completely removed, and the heat treatment is carried out at a temperature of 300-400°С in a stream of water vapor, which is supplied at a rate of 130-190 ml/min, while the resulting gaseous products are discharged into a container filled with water, with constant control of the electrical conductivity of the solution formed in the container, until constant values of electrical conductivity are obtained, after which the steam supply is stopped and kept for 2-3 hours at a temperature of 300-400°С and the resulting product is removed.;EFFECT: proposed method is simple and technological.;1 cl, 4 dwg, 2 ex
