META SERVER CRASH RECOVERY IN OBJECT STORAGE SYSTEM USING ENHANCED META STRUCTURE

Embodiments of the disclosure provide systems and methods for recovering a meta server crash. The exemplary method includes detecting a crash of a first meta server, which is assigned to an object group. The method further includes determining that the first meta server is back online within a predetermined time. The method also includes retrieving local operation logs of the object group from a local store of the first meta server, determining missing operation logs by comparing the local operation logs and backup operation logs on a second meta server also assigned to the object group, and updating the local operation logs with the missing operation logs. The method additionally includes recovering additional meta-data associated with the object group based on the updated local operation logs.
