Embodiments of the present invention provide a target tracking method, a target tracking device, a movable platform, and a storage medium. The method comprises: obtaining a photographing screen by a photographing device, and determining a target object to be tracked in the photographing screen; determining a preset image area in the photographing screen, and identifying at least one object in the preset image area by means of a preset target identification algorithm, wherein the target object is located in the preset image area; and tracking the at least one object by means of a multi-target tracking algorithm so as to track the target object. By means of the target tracking method, the target tracking device, the movable platform, and the storage medium provided in the embodiments of the present invention, the problem of tracking a wrong object is avoided, manual intervention of a user is reduced, and the accuracy and efficiency of target tracking are improved.
