The invention relates to the field of attribute-based signcryption, and disclosed is a lightweight attribute-based signcryption method for the cloud and fog-assisted Internet of things. The technical problem to be solved is: how to reduce a computational burden required for signature and decryption while achieving the confidentiality and reliability of data. The method comprises: a central mechanism performs system initialization to generate a system key pair and disclose a public key thereof, the public key comprising a symmetric encryption algorithm and a key generation function; the central mechanism generates, on the basis of a decryption attribute set of a data consumer, a decryption key and an outsourcing decryption key for the data consumer, and generates, on the basis of a signature access structure, a signature key and an outsourcing signature key for a data owner; the data owner invokes a fog node to perform outsourcing signature, performs symmetric encryption on plaintext on the basis of a symmetric key, and performs attribute signcryption on the symmetric key on the basis of a self-defined encryption access structure; the data consumer invokes the fog node to perform outsourcing signature verification, invokes the fog node to perform outsourcing decryption, and finally performs symmetric decryption on ciphertext on the basis of an outsourcing decryption result.
