An EMC filter device with an improved noise level is provided. The component comprises a first interface, a second interface, a filter circuit and a mechanical connection. The filter circuit is electrically connected between the first interface and the second interface. The mechanical connection is provided and set up to mechanically connect the component to an external fastening point. The mechanical connection is also provided and set up to electrically connect the filter circuit to a ground potential of the external fastening point.
