A structure having a thin flexible polymer substrate having an electrically conductive film on each opposing surface while having high light transmittance and good optical properties is described. The structure can have a total thickness of about 30 microns or less and good flexibility. A processing approach that enables the coating of very thin structures by providing support through the coating process is described. The structure is demonstrated to have good durability in conditions designed to test accelerated wear for touch sensor use.
