To provide a metal ion adsorption material capable of adsorbing a heavy metal ion contained in a nonpolar organic liquid at a dark place, detaching the same with visible light of 380 to 1000 nm and recovering the same, in which repeating adsorption recovery operation life of the heavy metal ion is improved, an adsorption body carrying the same, and a recovery method using the metal ion adsorption material.SOLUTION: The photoresponsible heavy metal ion adsorption material contains a copolymer (P) of a compound (A) having a polymerizable ethylenic unsaturated bond or an optical isomer (A') of the compound (A) represented by Formula (1), and a polymerizable ethylenic unsaturated monomer (B) having an alkyl group with 6 to 24 carbon atoms.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
