The die is comprised of the upper and lower halves, made with engravings forming the preliminary and final grooves. The final groove has a flash gutter for displacing the excess metal, including a magazine and a flash bridge. The flash bridge is made with a one-sided expansion with a curvilinear profile. The shape of the profile is determined accounting for the equality of the volume of metal displaced from the groove into the flash at the last pre-forging stage and the volume of the flash bridge with the initial height thereof equal to the thickness of the flash, and is described by the presented equation.;EFFECT: increase in the durability of the die tooling and reduction in the metal consumption are provided as a result.;5 cl, 6 dwg
