A multi-gas mixed laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) signal enhancement device and a heavy metal detection method, the device comprising: a solid pulse laser (1), a light path system (2), a multi-gas mixed spherical gas chamber (3), an optical fiber collector (4), a spectrometer (5) and a controller (8). The light path system (2) is connected to the solid pulse laser (1); the multi-gas mixing spherical gas chamber (3) is arranged corresponding to the light path system (2); the optical fiber collector (4) is arranged corresponding to the multi-gas mixing spherical gas chamber (3); the spectrometer (5) is connected to the optical fiber collector (4); and the controller (8) is connected to the spectrometer (5) and the solid pulse laser (1), respectively. The spectrometer (5) determines laser-induced breakdown spectral information according to light signals received by the optical fiber collector (4); and the controller (8) determines LIBS spectrum information according to the received laser-induced breakdown spectral information. The device provides a uniform mixed environment atmosphere of various gases for plasma generated by laser ablation of a sample to be detected, and may adjust the input quantity of the gases and the proportion of air according to detection requirements, thereby enhancing the LIBS spectral information and improving the accuracy of heavy metal content determination.
