The device comprises at least one sensor (60; 160; 260) for detecting one or more parameters associated with the hand of a user (U) holding the tool (30; 130), means (72) for storing said one or more parameters and a control unit (70). A control unit (70) comprising wireless communication means (74) from and/or to at least one external unit (80a, 80b), wherein the control unit (70) is adapted to acquire said one or more parameters from said at least one sensor (60; 160; 260) and their transmission to said external unit (80a, 80b) through the wireless communication means (74).
