This expansion pipe joint comprises: an outer cylinder which has a cylindrical shape extending in the axial direction from a first end to a second end, the outer cylinder having a first flange provided to the first end, and a second flange provided to the second end and connected to downstream-side piping; an inner cylinder which has a cylindrical shape extending in the axial direction from a third end to a fourth end, the inner cylinder having a third flange provided to the third end and connected to upstream-side piping, and an intermediate flange provided to an intermediate section between the third end and the fourth end, the inner cylinder being inserted into the outer cylinder; and a closing member having an outer peripheral edge part connected to the first flange, an inner peripheral edge part connected to the intermediate flange, and a stretch part connecting the outer peripheral edge part and the inner peripheral edge part. The first end is separated from the third end in the axial direction, and the first end is positioned between the third end and the fourth end in the axial direction.
