FIELD: ecology.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ecology and relates to a method for calculating direct fire carbon emissions, taking into account the threshold classification of the intensity of vegetation fire by satellite imagery in the infrared range. When implementing the method, the entire area of the fire is classified according to the power of heat release (Fire Radiative Power - FRP) and the categories of intensity (low-intensity, medium-intensity and high-intensity combustion) of individual areas of the fire are determined. The total value of direct fire emissions is determined by the ratio C = Ai(FRPi)× βi(FRPi) × Bi(FRPi )) × CE, where C is direct emissions of carbon (g); A is the area covered by the fire (m2), presented as the sum of the areas of all recorded phases of the fire, taking into account the category of combustion intensity - Ai(FRPi); β - coefficient of combustion efficiency, taking into account the intensity category βi(FRPi); βi(FRPi) - combustible stock of vegetable combustible materials, taking into account the intensity category (kg/m2); CE is a coefficient that determines the share of carbon in the combustion of biomass (g/kg).;EFFECT: enabling the quantification of fire carbon emissions and improving the accuracy of the estimate.;1 cl
