To provide a metal/resin composite structure capable of suppressing decrease in bond strength and leak-resistant performance even under severe environments, such as under high temperature and high humidity, and under an environment where hard heat cycle is imposed, so that it can be stably used for a long period.SOLUTION: This metal/resin composite structure 106 comprises: a metal member 103 which is made of aluminum-based metal and has a fine uneven surface 104; and a resin member 105 which is bonded to the fine uneven surface 104 of the metal member 103 and is made of thermoplastic resin or thermoplastic resin composition containing the thermoplastic resin. The metal/resin composite structure 106 simultaneously satisfies following requirements (1) and (2): (1) the fine uneven surface 104 has a fine uneven form in which an interval period is in a range of 5 μm or more to 300 μm or less; (2) a maximum permeation length of permeation liquid into a bonding part of the metal member 103 and the resin member 105 measured in a specific method is 0.5 mm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
