Various aspects of the disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some embodiments, the user equipment may identify the hash value index associated with exploring the physical downlink control channel. A hash value index can be identified at least partially based on an index at an interval of multiple intervals within a period. The user equipment may construct a hash function associated with determining the hash value, at least in part based on the hash value index. Many other aspects are provided.
