To provide technique that enables a latching pin to be inserted into a latching hole opened in an ear of a young shell, even if a bur remains in the latching hole and some curves are present in the latching pin.SOLUTION: A tip 12 of a locking pin 10 is vibrated by a vibration generator 45 as shown in Fig. (a). A slider 34 is advanced along a rail 33 while the locking pin 10 is vibrated. A bur 74 around a locking hole 72 is dropped by the tip 12 of the vibrating locking pin 10 as shown in Fig. (c). Namely, the tip 12 of the locking pin 10 plays a role as a deburring bar for knocking down the burrs 74. The tip 12 of the locking pin 10 penetrates into the locking hole 72 without obstructive burrs as shown in Fig. (d). In this case, the tip 12 of the locking pin 10 vibrates, accordingly the tip 12 is easy to enter the locking hole 72 even if the center of the locking pin 10 does not match the center of the locking hole 72.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
