To provide a method of dynamically distributing code among cores to achieve maximum performance and power savings in heterogeneous multi-core processing systems.SOLUTION: A program code is executed by a first processing core of a first type. A performance metric of the first processing core executing the program code is monitored to collect statistic data. The performance in executing the program code on a second processing core of a second type different from the first type, of a heterogeneous multi-core processing system, may be predicted based at least in part on the statistic data monitored and collected for the first processing core. If the predicted performance of the second processing core to execute the program code is better than the performance of the first core executing the program code, execution of the program code may be switched from the first processing core to the second processing core.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
