The present disclosure provides a redox initiator system for initiating polymerization, comprising an oxidizing agent, a photodissociable reducing agent, and a transition metal complex involved in the redox cycle. When exposed to chemical rays such as UV, the photodissociable compound photodecomposes to release a reducing agent and initiate polymerization by initiating redox.
