A fluorine-containing alkali aluminosilicate glass and a strengthening method therefor and an application thereof. The glass comprises the following components: 52%-68% of SiO2, 8%-23% of Al2O3, 11%-13% of Na2O, 3%-5% of Li2O, 3%-4% of P2O5, 3%-4% of ZrO2, and 1%-2% of a fluoride. Raw materials are prepared according to the components, melted, clarified, and then molded into glass, and the glass is chemically strengthened in a salt bath of potassium nitrate and sodium nitrate at 350-450°C; during first ion exchange, the mass ratio of potassium nitrate to sodium nitrate is (5%-36%):(95%-64%), and the duration is 1-4 h; during second ion exchange, the mass ratio of potassium nitrate to sodium nitrate is (96%-100%):(0%-4%), and the duration is 1 h or shorter. The glass is high in light transmittance and low in refractive index, and can be applied to display apparatuses and mobile devices.
