The invention relates to detection devices and other equipment known per se, the functionality of which increases substantially with the accuracy of the gravitational constant. These devices and equipment have until now relied on a very imprecisely measurable gravitational constant (accurate to approx. 5 places). For instance, the very imprecise tracking of the trajectories of celestial bodies, the locating of points on the Earth's surface, or the predetermination of satellite trajectories. The determination, presented in the description, of a gravitational constant of any desired accuracy by the generation, known per se, of a photon trap allows a significant improvement in the functionality of the aforesaid devices and equipment. For instance, the trajectory of a meteorite endangering the Earth can be predetermined more accurately correspondingly. It is thus also possible to predetermine the time of a meteorite impacting or flying past the Earth as accurately as desired.
