Problem to be solved: to provide a fume removal apparatus which is easier to remove metal fume.The fume removing apparatus 1 is installed in a plating facility 10 having a annealing furnace 3 for annealing the steel strip 2, a plating tank 4 for plating the steel strip 2, and a snubbing 5 extending from the annealing furnace 3 to the plating tank 4.The fume eliminator 1 is connected to the annealing furnace 3 or the snubber 5, and is connected to a discharge pipe 6 for discharging the ambient gas in the snubbing 5, a fume recovery part 7 which is connected to the discharge pipe 6 and collects the metal fume contained in the ambient gas introduced from the discharge pipe 6, and the discharge pipe 6.
