Method for improving the precision of touch inputs on touch screens and products with touch screens

The method involves passing interception signals with contact coordinates to an operating system. Coordinates of a controlling element are accessed by the operating system, and a test is performed to check whether the contact coordinates lie within the controlling element. Transmission of the contact coordinates is performed within the controlling element, and the contact coordinates are modified on an outer side of the controlling element, so that the transmission of the modified contact coordinates on the operating system is within the controlling element. An independent claim is also included for a computer-based system for connecting to a touch screen to improve accuracy of touch inputs with an operating system.
