Disclosed are method and apparatus of processing streaming media video data, computer device, and storage medium. The method comprises the steps of receiving a video playing request sent from at least one terminal, wherein the video playing request carries a video content identifier and corresponding video memory information; generating a preset drag parameter corresponding to the video content identifier; obtaining video information corresponding to the preset drag parameter from a source station, wherein the video information includes metadata; determining fragment information according to the video memory information, obtaining fragment video corresponding to the fragment information from the source station, and caching fragment video data; and splicing the metadata and the fragment video data according to the video playing request to obtain corresponding playing data.
