This hydrogen storage material is used for a hydrogen storage container of a hydrogen supply device, and has an alloy having a specific elemental composition represented by formula (1), wherein the alloy is such that, in a 1000× magnified COMP image of a cross-section thereof obtained by an EPMA, a plurality of phases having concentrated R and having a phase diameter of 0.1-10 μm are present, and that, in a visual field of 85 μm × 120 μm of the COMP image, 100 or more pairs of two phases having a shortest separation distance of 0.5-20 μm therebetween are present.　(1): Ti(1-a-b)RaM1bFecMndM2eCf
