A surface wave exploration method for jointly extracting Rayleigh wave frequency dispersion features from a seismic electric wave field, comprising the steps of: acquiring jointly collected data, wherein the jointly collected data comprises: seismic wave data and electric field data; performing joint imaging processing on the jointly collected data to obtain a superimposed frequency dispersion spectrum; and performing extraction processing on the superimposed frequency dispersion spectrum to obtain a dispersion curve, and performing inversion processing on the dispersion curve to obtain a strata structure section. Since the joint imaging processing of seismic wave data and electric field data is used to obtain the superimposed frequency dispersion spectrum, and a multi-mode frequency dispersion curve is extracted, the ambiguity of the inversion is greatly reduced during inversion, thereby greatly improving the accuracy and stability of surface wave exploration.
