SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REMEDIATION OF A CONTAMINATED WATER BODY

The present disclosure relates to a system for remediation of a contaminated water body and a method for the same. The method for remediation comprises pumping the water from a predetermined depth of the water body (104) using a pump (102) through a filter (108). The water is aerated using a blower (110) and a diffuser unit (112). Further, the aerated water is selectively dozed by using micro-organisms to obtain dozed water, using a dosing unit (118). The so obtained dozed aerated water is recycled back to the water body (104). The envisaged system is a simple, environment-friendly and cost-effective system which requires minimum space for installation and is easy to operate.
