The present invention relates to a nautical cleat (1, 1A) provided for tying a rope (600) of a boat. The cleat comprises a first shaft (11) and second shaft (12) installable on a deck (300) via a first positioning element (41) and a second positioning element (42), respectively, wherein the two shafts (11, 12) support a first tying element (21) and a second tying element (22), respectively. A transverse body (25) mechanically connects said first and second tying elements (21,22). Fastening means securely fasten said first and second positioning elements (41,44) to said deck (300). A first roller-shaped towing element (5) tows and rolls up said rope (600) and is rotatable about a first rotation axis (100) defined by said first shaft (11). A second roller-shaped towing element (6) is rotatable about a second rotation axis (200) defined by said second shaft (12) and substantially parallel to said first rotation axis (100). An actuating device (50) comprises at least one motor (90) operatively connected to said first (5) and/or second roller-shaped towing element (6). Connecting means connect the actuating device (50) to said deck (300), wherein said actuating device (50) is placed in a position underlying the lower surface (306) of the deck (300). A spherical joint (83), operatively interposed between the first shaft (11) and the transverse body (25), allows the rotation of the transverse body (25) with respect to said first shaft (11), around at least one substantially horizontal axis (800,801).
