Problem to be solved: to provide a method for loading a set of data from a source database management system (source DBMS) to a target DBMS to increase workload performance and reduce resource usage.Solution: the total CPU cost corresponding to loading the set of data into the target DBMS using the size and rate of change of the table that is entitled to be released to the target DBMS Based on the set of load strategies consisting of multiple load strategies, the workload savings cost corresponding to performing the workload on the target DBMS is determined.The total CPU cost is compared to the workload savings cost of each load strategy.An optimal load strategy is selected based on comparing the total CPU cost to the workload savings cost of each load strategy.The set of data is automatically loaded from the source DBMS to the target DBMS in accordance with the selected optimal load strategy.Diagram
