PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrocarbon adsorbent containing zeolite that is excellent in desorption of hydrocarbons, specifically aromatic hydrocarbons.;SOLUTION: The present invention provides a hydrocarbon adsorbent containing SZR zeolite with a molar ratio of potassium to aluminum being 0.72 or more. According to the hydrocarbon adsorbent, the temperature at which the desorption of adsorbed aromatic hydrocarbons starts rises to 180°C or more, and the hydrocarbon adsorbent can be used for an internal combustion engine exhaust treatment system.;SELECTED DRAWING: None;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
