Image acquisition trigger is applied to monitoring equipment, and the monitoring equipment comprises a plurality of image acquisition apparatuses. The method comprises: setting the trigger cycle of each of the image acquisition apparatuses (S110); determining a trigger reference moment (S120); setting the trigger offset duration of each of the image acquisition apparatuses (S130); and controlling each of the image acquisition apparatuses to periodically trigger, starting from a trigger start moment, image acquisition according to the corresponding trigger cycle, wherein the trigger start moment refers to a moment when the trigger offset duration is delayed starting from the trigger reference moment (S140). The provided image acquisition trigger method has a wide range of application and strong practicability.
