Disclosed are a data category determination method and apparatus, a terminal device, and a storage medium, applicable to the field of digital medical treatment. The method comprises: acquiring a first classification model (S100), wherein the first classification model is obtained by means of training using sample data from a first data source and is used for determining the category of any sample data from the first data source, and the first classification model at least comprises a feature extraction network and a normalization network; adding a data fitting network between the feature extraction network and the normalization network of the first classification model, and constructing a second classification model on the basis of training sample data from a second data source (S101), wherein the second classification model is used for classifying the data from the second data source, and the second data source is different from the first data source; and when target data from the second data source is received, inputting the target data into the second classification model (S102); and determining the category of the target data by means of the second classification model (S103). The method can improve the classification accuracy of a classification model.
