An example method comprises determining (820) that a radio node is scheduled to transmit K repetitions of a message in a period having at least K message intervals. At least one of K consecutive message intervals at the beginning of the period is configured for transmission and at least one other for reception. The method further includes, in response, selecting (830) and performing (840) an option from the following, in accordance with an indication: transmitting up to K repetitions of the message in respective message intervals of the period as soon as possible after the beginning of the period, such that there is at least one interruption in the transmitted up to K repetitions; or transmitting the message only in each of as many as possible of the K consecutive message intervals at the beginning of the period, such that fewer than K repetitions of the message are transmitted.
